Mighty forest within the Empire's borders, biggest in Known Alair, home of the Grugach
-
Some elves, mostly wood-elves, fled to Asedor Forest after the fall of Lantalaure, making a home there in spite of Imperial efforts to dislodge them. There they discovered the reclusive and cultured centaurs, who accepted them as neighbors and taught them the unique ways of the Asedor Forest.
Their culture has become wild and insular - they believed themselves for a long time to be the last Elves in Alair - and the centre of the forest a no-go area for the Empire, and indeed any non-elf who ventures deep into Asedor Forest.
Since the Return, Doronond and Crixus worked hard to establish cordial relations with the Wild Elves, but this was sufficient for the latter to communicate a desire to be left alone. Some bolder souls, and some of the hitherto reclusive centaurs, had taken to venturing out however.
The Flaying in 1850 destroyed a good quarter of the Forest, and drove a number of the residents out for other refuges.
