Elvish city, destroyed in the Elf Wars, rebuilt after the Slaying, capital of the Scorpion Empire

One of the great elven cities of the lost land Sildor, its' fall confirmed the defeat of the elves by Varkar. Lantalaure was a pivotal battle; the queen of the elven cities and the last stand of the Eldar against the Dark Beast.
All the mightiest forces, greatest heroes and staunchest allies of the Elves gathered there to confront the Dragonarmies. The resulting battle was the greatest ever fought in Alair, ending in utter defeat for the elves and the razing of the city.
Since the Return and the founding of Belamir, Elverandil Mastersmith was made Lord of Lantalaure and commenced its' rebuilding. In fifty years the city was around a quarter reclaimed - elves think in the long term - but what was rebuilt was truly magnificent.
The coup of 1921 saw the slaying of the King and all his kin, and the overthrow of the traditional elvish nobility. Elverandil fled the city and Milani Scorpion Queen took it for her capital.
