Eighty miles by thirty, the Fens are an impenetrable maze of shifting tussocks, deceptively solid-looking floating masses topped with grass, and pools of thirsty quicksand, or rather mud.
Reputed to be the location of the Army of the Dead, and the hiding place of Cullinan and Torunn Yalistair. After the slaying of those two, various good forces scoured the fens trying to root out the last evils within them, but something hideous still lurks undiscovered in the mire.
