Vesucius had studied the secret lore of vampiric magic under Gravincia, something utterly forbidden among all vampire clans of whatever allegiance; another example of why the High Clans didn't trust Daywalkers. He knew the full details of the spell Nightfall (though not being a vampire, he couldn't cast it) and knew Namewrack. He had also studied the spell Undetectable Vampire, though again couldn't cast it, and understood how it hid the fact of a vampire's nature from spells and abilities normally able to sense such creatures.
