A veteran of many, many successful courier runs and most recently of blockade running during the Fifth Frontier War, Evadne has recently passed her 100th year of service. She has not, however, aged well, and is prone to regular small failures. Most recently her Jump drives failed. Rigged repairs restored Jump-1 but she needs proper repairs... which, being MCr2, you can't afford. You could indent for them at the nearest Scout base (Vandene) but most likely she wouldn't get that far even if she could make the 2 parsec Jump from Genewen to Vandene. You need to earn some money to get the repairs privately and get to Vandene to claim it back (remember to keep your receipts!). On the plus side, due to an administrative slip she was detached without having her turret removed, so at least you can defend yourself at need. Being designed and built as cheaply as possible, parts and spares are on the whole very cheap as these things go. About the most modern feature she carries is the Model 4/fib backup computer cluster which is actually more powerful than the original but has a rather strange personality.
