Dorlanisti Kingdom comprising two islands and producing the fastest ships in Mereval
The only kingdom comprising two islands, Volhowe has fewer ships by far than Cormar, but they are much faster. Volhowan galleys can catch anything that floats.
The fertile lands are heavily farmed for livestock, rather than crops, and Volhowans eat almost as much meat as fish. Volhowan horses are also exceptional, although the importance of the horse is diminishing as the years pass and the waters rise.
Volhowe's capital Altenmark is (according to tradition) the oldest city on Mereval. Certainly it looks it, with faded stone bearing faintly readable inscriptions in archaic Khylar.
Rumours also persist of limitless tunnels under the city, with some source of dark and ancient power hidden within.
