A country occupying the southern half of the island it shared with Cormar, Velmar was in a position of superior military might around a hundred and fifteen years ago, and invaded Cormar with a view to absorbing her. A major battle was fought near Heldorn, at which the Velmarans were defeated, and the capital city Englor utterly destroyed by the sorcerer Calatin.
