Originally,
Mehmet's stated move was to pull off a ring - not the ring - from his
hand and flick that upwards to distract the Archen. Since he wears gloves, had
I been firing on all DM cylinders I should have let him perform this
manifestly two-handed action, then penalized him 3 strike ranks to pick up the
bow he would have had to have put down, and another 3 to select an arrow and
nock it, and the Archen would have looked back down by then and skewered him
while he was fumbling.
It's poor form to forget something that should have disadvantaged a player and then impose it retroactively, but almost worse, it would have looked utterly unfeasible in the write-up. So I tweaked things to a ring from a belt pouch.
