The Sarkrith are a reptilian race from Sar'Prime, a parallel Prime Material plane. They loathe magic in all its forms, probably as a result of some long-ago and long-forgotten enslavement by magical creatures. Sar'Prime is completely blanketed in anti-magic fields created by the Sarkrith
Paradoxically, they carry this hatred to the degree of travelling the planes to eradicate workers of magic. The portal openers they use have in turn earned them the hatred of the Githyanki and other Astral residents as they cut holes through the Astral Plane to reach from place to place, causing considerable damage there.
There are two breeds of Sarkrith. Thanes are large, green and muscular and form the muscle of the race, whereas Spelleaters are smaller, blue, and have magic-stealing abilities.
An alliance of githyanki with the heroes Gorfang and Eloy broke the power of the Sarkrith, destroyed the portal opener technology and laid waste to the entire world of Sar'Prime. Races with planar travel are never entirely dependent on one world after, though, and it is not impossible that a Sarkrith colony may have survived somewhere to trouble spellcasters in years to come.
