Port Braxis, according to an account dated seventy years ago, is a centre of diabolic capitalism. Devils have established a semi-permanent settlement, from which scarred scows, crewed by miserable soul shells, sail across the Porphatys' oceans to harvest the acid ice. While the devils are immune to acid, the petitioners are not, and they suffer constant agonies - as is the intention of course.
