Karsten once housed a major library/temple of Aderra, but on the rise of the Theocracy this was sacked and burned. The city was the administrative and theocractic hub of Nhased, though the religious centre was the Cathederal of the One.
Karsten was destroyed by the Ritual of Flaying in 1850 and remains ruined.
