Ruled by King Dorain, advised by the Goldeneye. A warning that a cataclysmic war was to sweep across Alair caused Dorain to seal Gloiran in 1601, isolating it from affairs in Alair until 1608, when the king grudgingly admitted that the reference had probably been to the aborted invasion of the Shadowkami.
In the years of exile, Gloiran lost much commercial and diplomatic ground to Kobur, and struggled to remain the richest and most important dwarvish city in Alair. Things were just getting back to normal when the Elvish and Erlyid Civil wars, and the Elf Death, decimated the markets for their trade.
