Vampire philosophy

The Way of Humanity holds that vampires were once and still are to some extent humans with souls, though damned and cursed, and that salvation lies in suppressing the instincts and urges of the Beast within. Followers of this Way yearn to turn back the clock and escape from what they now are, and will strive against their unnatural urges wherever possible. Extremists will vow never to slay a sentient, and occasionally will suicide rather than slay, though dying unredeemed damns them forever
