A front-line organization dedicated to defending Stryre from the horrors of the Desolation. The Blades' headquarters is the fortress Lorindel. Acting on a tipoff from an unknown source, a strong force from the Blades travelled south through Stryre and into the Fens of Korvux, ostensibly on a 'training mission' although sizable casualties were noted on their emergence two months later.
The Blades remained true to Aderra throughout the religious civil wars of the 1700s and were besieged several times, but as of 2100 remain based in Lorindel, with hostile governments to both the north and south
