Archpelago - City of scholars
Bilsinx - Some 30,000 inhabitants live within the city walls & additional 4,000 or so live & manage the farmlands around the city.
Black March - Small duchy in the Thail Mountains, population approximately 7,500.
Brev - Many towered walled city, smallest of those on the quincunx, it is a drab place ruled by a single family for many years, the Ashentani, population approximately
Duin - Small coastal town, population approximately 2750.
Isles of the Sun - Few have been to islands far to the West across the Golden Sea, even fewer have returned, those that have, bring stories of feather clothed, shaven headed golden dusted barbarians & mute drugged slaves/caravels.
Harmiss - Small farming town, population approximately 3,500 made up of township & 2,000 or so outlying farming settlements.
Highgrass Broad - Undulating grass plains to the north of the River Wirin. The people of the Highgrass plains are heavily armed nomads whose services are always available for hire. Several organised mercenary cavalry units ply their trade from the plains the most famous lead by Count UlthurV'Duuyek.
High Medurim - The largest single city on the on the continent, it is a city of baroque stone towers, libraries, universities, palaces & endless public buildings as well as open sewers, vast slum districts & docklands surpassed only by Tolviroth Acerte, its population fluctuates constantly as travellers from across the known world pass through its gates however it is estimated that within its high walls dwell in excess of 80,000 people. The city is governed at any time by one or other of the dozen or so families who constantly strive & conspire against each other & from the household of the strongest the emperor is chosen to sit upon the sapphire throne. Within the city the day to day affairs are overseen by the Council of Guilds, who appoint city militia to maintain the emperor's law, however the Imperial army mans the walls under the control of the Emperor.
Hurinzyn/Badger Clan - Fierce semi-nomadic tribal people who inhabit the foothills of the Thail Mountains & who regularly come into conflict with the Ust-Alayakits. Unlike their rivals this people breed & ride huge badgers with whom they share their set. They are lead by a shaman who carries the inherited tribal name, Kueta-Atelk & are also fond of tattoos, in this case using a blue dye in contrast to that of the bear clan.
Jav-Nihen - Medium sized town, largest of, & former governmental seat of the old empire townships, population approximately 11,000.
Josselit Monks - An order of monks living around the Great Crater, preachers of abstinence.
Kara-Est - Built on a slight rise the port of Kara-Est is sandwiched between the sulphur plains & a coastal, foul smelling, salt swamp, it is not the most desirable of locations but it is the largest of the Quincunx, population approximately 43,000. Undeterred or possibly to compensate for its location the people of Kara-Est, the Estil, are lovers of colour. Their clothing consists long woollen robes of many colours, the rendered squat flat roofed buildings similarly painted in a multitude of pastel shades.
Kolinth - Large coastal city, largely having fallen into disrepair & abandoned, population only a fraction of its former prosperity, population approximately 4,000.
Kubil - Small duchy in the Thail Mountains, population approximately 2,500.

Sjedd - East of the foot of the Thail Mountains the lands are many meandering streams running to the Golden Sea, this fertile plain is known as the Sjedd.
Sky City -
Thailot - Nestled in the foothills of the Thail Mountains it forms the western limit of the Quincunx. It sits astride a narrow pass protecting the trade route between the East & Deepwater. Its population numbers only 14,000 & are a hardy race of hill-men & skilled artisans, particularly famed for their glass, mirrors & lenses. Trade is brisk & the tolls charged for passage between through the mountain pass is fair.
Thrishnor -
Tolviroth Acerte - An island city of moneylenders, bankers, merchants & business including the Tolviroth Maritime Corporation & the Omsgib-Bir House of Finance. The island at its closet point is some 25 miles of the coast of the mainland & apart from the city, population 37,000, is unpopulated & untouched. The city is essentially one large thriving port.

Wirix - A sorcerous isle located central to Lake Wir, Its population is small & is forcibly kept so, it is thought to be in the order of only a few thousand
