Koosh'ti (House of Arrakan) - Lord of Shadows aka The Grim Reaper
The son of a minor noble within the House of Arrakan a keen & eager Koosh'ti was dispatched to accompany & guide Lord Rooster, the bearer of the 'Ring of the Iron Borne' & his entourage, party through the mountains.
Over many months he rose somewhat in power & became a trusted companion as well as embroiled in the turmoil of the struggles of others & Lord Roosters efforts to be crowned King of the Iron Realms. Along the way Koosh'ti, at first reluctantly & later with relish, became vampyre but fortunately acquired the bracelet of Arnor which allowed him to walk in daylight. Whilst at first this knowledge was withheld from his companions it later served them most magnificently.
Under the guise of his new undead "life" he was been taken under the mentorship of the venerable Lord Pius, possibly the oldest &most powerful vampyre in the known lands, indeed possibly the progenitor of the vampyre race in the Iron Realms. Fate took a hand in Koosh'ti's somewhat chaotic life & Koosh'ti found himself the executioner of Malefran, the miscreant son of Asmodeus, the Lord of the Nine Pits, Master of the Dark Paths, the most feared devil in Hell. The taking of Malefran's life blood, who had stolen his fathers luck, has granted Koosh'ti the luck of the devil, but for how long, well only the devil himself may know the answer to that one.
For his sins & in the shadow of the election of Lord Rooster Brevan as high king of the Iron Realms Koosh'ti found himself bizarrely wedded to his childhood sweetheart, Selena, the eldest daughter of Lord Angar Arrakan. Somewhat foolishly & unbeknownst to her father, Koosh'ti granted Selina her wish, the curse of blood taker. Koosh'ti feared this may have begot his down fall, in practice it was the beginning of the end for Lord Arrakan.
Over the following months war came to the land, Brevan, steered by Maldorak or Death himself as he would be better called. To aid his travels through the twelve planes he absorbed a Sakari heart, the most blackest of black magic known in the land, this changed him physically & mentally beyond reason from the youthful boy he'd set off as a vassal to Lord Rooster.
In Koosh'ti's ongoing footsteps many things came to pass:
The death of Lord Rooster, first amongst the followers of the Algarth, chief amongst the realms pantheon
The destruction of Selina & Pius at the hands of Brevan & by means of the terrible power of the maelstrom
The demise of many friends old & new, not least being the Black Pig & Domfront, foremost disciple & priest of the God of Fire.
After many tribulations & trials of Koosh'ti's patience revenge was ultimately achieved, Koosh'ti, by means of the destruction of the Vampyre Realms, the final inhabited plane of existence of a lost race of twisted & ineffectual Vampyres, gained the Ring of Limbo allowing him to defeat Death itself & retrieve both his beloved Selina & former master Pius from Death's realm. Ultimately this lead to the slaying of Algarth & with the help of his friends finally dragged Maldorak & Brevan body & soul into Limbo's Eternal Flames under the watchful eye of Fate himself.
Despite his steady rise to greatness Koosh'ti there were those, many if he was honest, who called him evil & plotted in secret against him. Reluctantly Koosh'ti accepted Algarth's dead words that yet again Koosh'ti & his principle companion Azimar the Mage had broken the unbreakable & turned the Universe on its head. With such in mind & following agreement with two of the three sole remaining deity's of the Realms Pius slew the "Twelve" & took control of the incorporate Lands of Shadow whilst Koosh'ti departed the mortal plane & with his Mistress of Death, Selina of House Arrakan, ascended to the mantle of the Reaper to steer all future unfortunate lost souls into the Underworld.
One day however, Koosh'ti, like Maldorak before him, knows the allure & control of the Iron Realms may be too great a temptation to withstand . . . . .
