Morestone

This is another one a bit like "Benbros" where the quality of the finished product is, well to put it mildly a bit like a cardboard box on square wheels, I'm told their not all like this & that the Noddy & Big Ear models were much improved, however I can only speak for those that clutter my shelves, surprise, surprise, there Landrovers, detailed they are not.

Its, well, its complicated is Morestone, & I'm not going to try & explain it here, just because its complicated doesn't mean its interesting. Briefly they evolved in the late 1940's out of the toy manufacturer Morris & Stone, in 1954 a Morestone die casting company was set up which ran hand in hand/were interchangeable with Budgie Models. Morestone as an individual entity pretty much disappeared in the 60's although a new company emerged in 1966 called Budgie Models (Continuation) Ltd & another name appeared for a while in the 80's called "Seerol" but as I said above complicated doesn't interpret as interesting, nuff said.
