Britains

Soldiers & farms I suppose is what you think of when you think of Britains & the range of farming implements, if your into that sort of thing, is pretty impressive, I'm not though am I, I like Landrovers. Overall the detail on the Landrovers is OK, but variable to say the least, compare that of the regular Defender 90's to the commemorative Srs I issued in 1997, there is no comparison & the price of the latter reflected it accordingly.

Britains are the oldest toy company in the UK still in production, now looking towards their 150th anniversary in 2010. Obviously in 1860 they weren't producing Landrovers, although some would have it thats when the were designed for. In 1932 they took their first step away from lead soldiers & produced a Albion type truck. Post war they began producing farm vehicles along side their military range which now pretty much dominate their production line.

As other manufactures have cottoned on to farm vehicles Britains have had to expand the range of vehicles produced & therefore we now see skip wagons & like along side combine harvesters, tractors & cows, but as I think you'll of gathered by now I'm only interested in their Srs I, II, III & Defenders.
